Programme overview

The Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism equips students with the knowledge, practical skills, and industry insights needed to build successful careers in the global hospitality and tourism sector. The programme combines classroom learning with practical application, providing a strong foundation in hotel operations, food and beverage management, tourism management, customer service, cultural awareness and hospitality marketing.

The 12-month course provides a comprehensive understanding of hospitality operations, tourism management, customer service excellence and business communication, while developing the practical skills required to succeed in hotels, resorts, restaurants, attractions, travel agencies, airlines and other tourism-related organisations.

Upon successful completion, graduates will possess the professional competencies, operational knowledge and customer-focused mindset required to pursue career opportunities or further academic progression in hospitality and tourism.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and have successfully completed 10 years of formal education. Mature candidates aged 30 years and above with a minimum of 8 years of working experience may also be considered for admission. Applicants must have passed English at Year 10 (or equivalent) or successfully complete AceTek College’s English Placement Test.

Qualification awarded

Students who successfully complete all modules will be awarded the Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism by AceTek College — a Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA), Singapore registered private education institution.
